Pathways to Teaching & Licensed Education Professions

There is a nationwide shortage of educators, and locally we need to pursue every avenue available to bridge the growing gap between high-quality educators and our community’s needs. Clackamas ESD is committed to helping build a stronger regional educator workforce by offering a variety of support to aspiring educators who are interested in becoming licensed educators, behavior specialists, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, social workers — any licensed profession supporting students and schools.

We’re working to help develop a new educator pipeline by:

  • Connecting employees in our partner school districts and our own employees with resources that help them work towards school careers that require a license
  • Helping regional students find opportunities to begin exploring and preparing for a teaching career while in high school
  • Providing career guidance to community members interested in becoming educators
