Heron Creek Therapeutic Program

Heron Creek Therapeutic Program

Our Heron Creek Therapeutic Program serves K-12 students from districts throughout the county experiencing significant social, emotional, behavioral and academic challenges. We work to address their barriers to success and help them build the self-regulation skills that enable them to make a successful return to their home school. Our evidence-based strategies emphasize Collaborative Problem-Solving in a trauma-informed learning environment. We use strength-based assessments and collaborate with local systems of care. In addition to offering highly personalized academic instruction, we provide a range of additional supports to Heron Creek students as needed, including speech and language therapy; occupational therapy; specialized behavioral consultation; psychiatric consultation with the family’s medical providers; and nursing supports.
