Advisory Committees

One of the most valuable services we provide to regional districts is the convening of job-alike advisory groups to share information and address collective challenges. We operate nine of these groups for professionals in:

  • Business services
  • Communications
  • English learner/migrant support
  • Facilities management
  • Human resources
  • Safe schools/emergency management
  • Special education
  • Student Success Act implementation
  • Teaching and learning
  • Technology

A separate group made up of our 10 partner districts’ chief administrators, as well as the president of Clackamas Community College, is convened by our CESD superintendent.

These collaborations have become even more critical since the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020. Over the past couple of years, many of our advisories have been communicating much more frequently to assess rapidly changing circumstances and develop plans of action. Throughout the pandemic, Clackamas ESD has been an important liaison for our regional districts to the Clackamas County Department of Public Health and several state agencies, ensuring key concerns regarding school operations are addressed.
