Work on our new early childhood center has begun! Through next spring, contractors will be digging, hammering and sawing as we remodel the building north of our Sunnybrook administrative building and data center that we acquired in 2021. The project also includes improving security by installing new fencing and gate access around the entire Clackamas ESD property. Please “pardon our dust” and be aware this lengthy project will impact traffic patterns and parking.
When the new early childhood center opens in fall 2024, the facility will help fulfill Clackamas County’s needs for more accessible, inclusive and culturally responsive support to children birth to age 5. In particular, the center will focus on supporting children and families from traditionally underserved populations, including those experiencing poverty, those experiencing disabilities and families who speak languages other than English.
