We continue to be excited about all of the work going on in school districts throughout Clackamas County as they gear up to implement the statewide Student Success Act. The SSA will provide some additional funding to schools to help them focus on ending academic disparities among students and supporting behavioral and mental health, and each school district is creating distinct plans to achieve those goals. District teams are currently setting priorities for their SSA plans by using a wealth of community input they have collected over the past several months and pairing that with student data. CESD’s student success leader, Angie Kautz, has developed excellent templates that can assist districts in creating their student success plans. We also have posted summaries of the wonderful work our regional districts have been doing to engage their communities, focus on equity and build accountability into their planning.
